I may have to come back and amend this post from time to time, as I continually sift through the muddy expanse of memories, lost days, and chaos that reigned during this time period. As you can imagine, I had a completely different idea of what 2020 would have in store.
So to set the scene:
September/October 2019: Life@24, my first album, is released. I did my best to create a convincing dramaturgy that could be appealing to anyone who happened upon it. I'm still really proud of it, although it has clear signs of unpolish and its a good benchmark for me. At this point, I was still working as an Audio Engineer in Reno, Nevada, and after a long, busy summer filled with many hours of sunshine and work, I was looking forward to the next idea. Albeit slowly; I enjoyed the comfort of having a solid job, and being able to maneuver at my leisure.
These months also marked the beginning of the Cooking With the M.S. Chef youtube series I created with my best friend. After his marriage, we really wanted to endeavor on a creative project together, especially to help with his state of mind surrounding the diagnosis. I got to work on my editing and camerawork, and he got to improv and be an edu-tainer, riffing songs and recipes all in real time. The episodes that we got through turned out fun, engaging, and completely honest. Here's an on-going playlist of all the videos so far:
